CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Tower Class

Get leaner, longer, and stronger in this class no matter your level of experience or fitness. The Pilates Mat work, arm springs, leg springs, tower bar, half barrels, and smaller accessories like light weights, magic circles, balls and rollers will be utilized to make you feel taller, lighter, more energized and surprisingly more relaxed too!. Classes are open to a maximum of 7-11 clients to ensure individual attention.  

Intermediate Tower Class

Ready to take your practice to the next level? This class will use intermediate Pilates mat exercises and the classic Pilates Tower equipment, small weights, magic circles, and other props. Classes are open to a maximum of 7-11 clients to ensure individual attention.

Beginners Welcome Class

Perfect for those who are new to Pilates, Postnatal, or wish to refine their technique and focus on form, this class will teach the basics of the Pilates technique in addition to beginner matwork and springs exercises with the classic Pilates Tower equipment, small weights, magic circles, and other props.Classes are open to a maximum of 7-11 clients to ensure individual attention.

Prenatal Pilates Class

Pilates during pregnancy can help new moms relieve back pain, increase upper and lower body strength, maintain coordination, sleep better, regulate weight gain, recover faster from delivery, and feel more relaxed and happy through all three trimesters. This class will utilize prenatal appropriate Pilates matwork and springs exercises with the classic Pilates Tower equipment, small weights, magic circles, and other props. This class is open to all levels and a maximum of 7 clients to ensure individual attention. If you have questions about whether or not it is safe for you to workout during your pregnancy, please consult with your doctor first.

Postnatal Pilates Class

Designed especially for new moms, our postpartum class will target all the tight points in the body of a new mom  and try to stretch and open, while giving the student tools so she can practice at home. This class will get you back into your body and will prepare you to go back into an open level Pilates class.

Community Class

Community Pilates class taught by a teacher in training at BodyTonic Pilates Gymnasium.  This class will take participants through the basics of tower, springs and mat work.  It will be challenging and geared toward injury-free clients.  Please understand this is a class where teachers are still learning and are gaining experience and they may not be prepared for special modifications.  

Experiential Anatomy Class

Learn anatomy for a good cause! Jennifer's new class on Tuesday at 2pm teaches anatomy without a textbook, focusing on a different body part each week. This class is donation-based, and all proceeds support the continuing education of our instructors!
