FAQ

How does it work?

All of our clients begin with our private intro offers for private training and group classes. Check out our pricing for in-person Pilates and for virtual Pilates. We recommend starting with private training and gradually moving into group classes. You can find more explanation here

How often should I do Pilates?

We recommend training 2-3 times per week. We can help you design a program that fits your schedule and budget with a combination of group and private training.

What do I wear?

Non-slip socks are required for all clients for safety and hygienic reasons. We recommend comfortable clothing that you can move in, and that keeps you appropriately covered if you are lying down with your legs in the air. Some clients wear compression shorts under running shorts in the warmer months.  If you do not have grip socks, we have loner grip socks and we sell them.

What facilities do you have?

We offer a small bathroom to change in. There is no shower or locker room.

Do you sell water?

There are two great deli’s across the street from us where you can get everything from bottled water, to a fresh juice or a taco.

Is there parking?

There is metered and non-metered street parking available. Alternate side parking rules are in effect on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30am-1pm.

What transportation is available?

For subway transportation, we are within walking distance from Atlantic Avenue/Barclay’s Center N/Q/R/2/3/4/5/B, Bergen Street 2/3, 7th Avenue Q, and Union Street R.

There is metered and non-metered street parking available. Alternate side parking rules are in effect on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:30-1.

What if I am injured?

If you are in pain or injured, please get a diagnosis and advice from a doctor or specialist before coming to BodyTonic. If you have any recommendations from your doctor or physical therapist, we are skilled at integrating protocols into your session.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes. We have a firm 24 hour cancellation policy on all of our bookings. In order to maintain our small business, to allow for individualized attention, and for teachers to manage their predicted income, 24 hours is the limit on session changes or cancellations. We thank you for understanding how vital this is to our community.
